Not worth it
I'd thought I'd save money on this battery. Nope. Three months and it is already dead. I should have just bought one directly from Dell.
Off to a good start
I bought this to replace the original battery on a Dell E1505 that lasted 13 months. It looks similar to original, fits properly and charges to 100%. I ran the computer from 100% charge until it shut down and got 2 hours 45 minutes run time. This seems about right for the capacity of this battery after the first week of use. Smart_parts shipped quickly, I had it within 3 days of placing the order. I just hope that is lasts longer than the Dell battery did.
So far, so good
My original battery failed after 22 months, not bad considering I see a lot of postings about Dell batteries not even making it a year. Just got my TechFuel battery. Went with these guys because the other vendors, although cheaper, seemed like hit-or-miss with the quality and didn't come with any warranty. Appears that there's a large bin somewheres full of leftover batteries and you take a chance with them. This one comes with a 12-month warranty - more than enough time to figure out if you have a bad one and return it. I did have to re-seat it in the socket as it was having trouble charging, seems fine now and charges to 100% - meter shows over 2 hours worth of charge.
