Had to put in an office space quote somewhere. I originally bought one because I had a gift certificate and I'm a huge fan of the movie. From a fan's perspective it is a great piece. It's fun to have someone over who happens to recognize it.

As a stapler it couldn't be better. I have been using mine for at least three years now and I have never had a problem with jamming or smashed staples mangling paper. It's heavy duty metal construction makes it an extremely robust piece of office equipment which can really take abuse.

Love it
This sure is much more superior than those cheap plastic staplers at my office place. Works like a charm...though this staple indicated it can staple up to 20 pages, I have stapled 30 pages together w/ out any problem. As you can never ever do w/ those plastic staplers. Now, all I have to do is fine a lock for it since my friend actually played a prank on me and hid it for a few days since they all know how excited i am about this stapler as I was demonstrating what it can do.

Others will covet your red stapler
First of all, it's a quality stapler and the price isn't completely ridiculous. So if you buy it as an office supply, it works just fine. But mostly (if you work in an office with others), you can use it to test your coworkers taste and knowledge of films. Many visitors may simply ignore your nifty red stapler, but there will be some folks who immediately smile as soon as they see your special Swingline. Be prepared to spend extra time with them as you recall your favorite sections from Office Space. But remember who they are in case your red stapler goes missing some day. Deep down, they all want your stapler.
