Customer Reviews
Always use Brother Manufactured Ink.
I always purchase Brother manufactured ink. It may cost a little more than the no-name brand, but you never have ANY problems with it!
TN460 toner
When I ordered a Brother 7820N one of the other things offered was this toner cartridge. But it does not fit into this printer. I am not a happy customer.

OK, but no 6000 pages
I own a Brother HL-1440 laser printer that I purchased in January 2002. I don't know exactly how many pages I print each month, but it's not a lot - probably 200 or less, on average. The cartridge that came with the printer lasted about a year. In the 5.5 years since then, I've gone through 3 of the TN460 cartridges - about one every 22 months. By my reckoning, that's about 4000 pages, not 6000. Print quality is excellent during the first half or 2/3 of the cartridge's lifespan, but deteriorates noticeably after that. Toward the end, every page is coated with a faint film of toner. Overall, I am not impressed with these cartridges.
