Tasty and somewhat healthier, but messy chips, now with delicious herb flavoring!
These chips are superior to normal potato chips in that they are fried in olive oil, which is healthier than the standard "canola, safflower, and/or sunflower" junk in normal potato chips. They also use red potatoes, which are somewhat better than standard russet potatoes. As far as I can tell, however, the ingredients aren't organic, so they could still be loaded with pesticides and other gross stuff.

Now onto what really matters: taste. The ingredients in these chips are pretty simple: potatoes, olive oil, salt. This flavor "fine herbs" adds some interesting spices to the mix. The olive oil adds some elegance to the standard salty crunch, and the herbs add a delicious complexity. The resulting taste is great! I didn't find any of the herbs too strong, but you may want to try a single bag before committing to a 12 pack. I've found myself going through a whole bag in one sitting more than once. At 5 ounces, these aren't really king size bags, however, so if you're planning on sharing, you might bring another bag as backup.

The one drawback to these chips is that the skins that have been left on the potato slices and the herb bits on the chips are really messy! The pieces get all over your hands, clothes, and teeth, and getting those stubborn brown specks off can be a hassle. I don't consider this big enough of a drawback to prevent me from eating these, however, they are just too darn tasty!

While these are by no means a "health food" they are certainly a better option for the chip lovers out there, and can be a delicious treat in moderation. Recommended for those wanting to eat healthier without giving up potato chips.

I'm only going to have one more of these chips...ok, one last one...now this is my last one for sure...

Gave only 4 stars because they are a little heavy on the herbs and the chips are kind of thick. May not be for everyone, but I love them!

Not as good as other Red Bliss chips...
These chips are heavy on the spices and even though they use olive oil, they seem pretty greasy. They aren't horrible, just not a favorite in our household.
