Customer Reviews

Great tool to have for cable installation5
I knew nothing about cable installation. After previewing several video demonstrations on [......], I decided to use compression type fitting. I started shopping for tools, and saw this one at the store. Although this tool is a little bit on the pricy side, I decided to try it provided it had a money-back return policy from the vendor. I had a problem using it the first time - because of my lack of knowledge on how to use it, and not because of the product. I called the manufacturer and they returned my call promptly. They even took pictures on how to do certain things, and emailed them to me. I found this tool to be convenient to use, and manufacturer's technical support is great. I did the job or rewiring my cables the same day I received the tool. Now I have the freedom of making custom-size cables. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone.

King of the crimp tools5
OK you are staring at the price tag. 80 bucks for a crimp tool - but hold on and don't pre-judge it like I did the first time.

You get the tool, a stripper to save time removing the jacket and braid, and a sample of 3 styles of connectors in this kit. Everything is here to get you started crimping, and best of all as you need to do a cable job of a different sort, your tool will work.

I bought a cheap tool at the hardware store for installing F connectors for antennas - but when the time came to install "other" connectors like RCA plugs for home theater or BNC plugs for CCTV video it could not handle the job. This is the only UNIVERSAL tool I know of that can handle any connector and any cable. If you had to buy 6 tools to handle the combinations, you can quickly see that in the long run you are ahead on this design.

Paladin supports their tool with many types of connectors and cable sizes. You can do RG-59, RG6, RG6 quad shield cables, and RCA, F, and BNC connectors with one tool.

The time saved in having everything to make cables for antenna installations, TVs, or CCTV cameras makes this a real value despite its inital sticker shock. I have not found a better price than amazon's $80.
