Amazon.com Product Description
The Panasonic KX-TG8232B DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with Two Handsets uses the latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology for outstanding range and clarity. It operates on the 1.9 GHz frequency for less interference from household items such as wireless networks, keyboards, and microwaves, and is less susceptible to eavesdropping. Two handsets are included and up to four additional handsets can be used with the base unit without any need for wires or setup.
An all-digital answering system is built into the base and features flash memory that holds 16 minutes of recording time. The phonebook can hold 50 entries and the Caller ID can be linked to the phonebook so that a certain color gets flashed depending on who is calling. Call-waiting Caller ID shows you the name and number of an incoming call even while you are already on a call. Digital duplex speakerphones are built into the back of both handsets for clear hands-free conversations.
Customer Reviews
Works well, speaker phone has too much echo
I have used Uniden 2.4GHz phone for years. This Panasonic is better in most aspects except the speaker phone, which has a little bit too much echo that makes it sometimes hard to understand what the other side is saying, and has to go back to non-speaker phone.
Great phone!!!
Cell phone reception at my house is terrible. So I signed up for Vonage and purchased this phone. This phone is great!!! I absolutely love it, works great and very easy to use. In addition it is expandable if need be, and its a very nice classy looking phone. The only downside is the contacts are stored in the handset. I wish they were stored in a central base station so you didn't have to enter them in each handset. It is a duplication of effort and very annoying.
Fails the most basic operations
This phone has a number of failures. Range was it biggest failure. I put the base exactly where I've had several other cordless phones over the years and many times this phone loses the base from a bedroom, backyard...20 feet away...two walls, sometimes just one, it gets no signal. When a call comes in the ringer will sometimes just keep ringing one continuous ring. Sometimes the phone won't ring at all. I can hear the other phone ringing. Sometimes the phone will make an odd noise and disconnect...and I'm 5 feet from the base. I'm sending it back...I ordered a vtech...they have their problems too ( all these phones seem to have some problems ) but at least the basic stuff works.
