Customer Reviews
Wide angle lens useless
I found the wide angle lens useless on the Kodak z712(612 and 812 also). You have to zoom in to negate seeing the lens adapter. In the end the zoom with the wide angle lens produces less of a FOV than the standard camera lens. I have had wonderful results with the telephoto lens but not these.
lens for z812is
I bought this lens for a Kodak Z812. When I first bought this lens it came with the wrong adaptor. I mailed the lens and adaptor back and they sent me an adaptor and lens that work. There is some inside of the adaptor that shows on the corners of the picture but other than that it does work. The one star I gave it was after the first delivery. With the correct adaptor I would give it a 4 star. I can't seem to edit my star rating.
Good, but pointless
I'll give this 3 stars because, like all Opteka lenses, this one takes a nice photo. However- what's the point? They say it's for the Z612 which means you need the lens adapter. Anyone who has the lens adapter knows, you need to zoom in about 2/3 of the way to get rid of the "tunnel vision" created by the adapter. So why would you want to zoom in to use a lens that acts as if you're zooming out? Why not just remove the lens adapter and lenses and use the camera solo?
