It also supports AT&T's Video Share service, which offers a one-way video stream during a mobile-to-mobile phone call. This AT&T phone can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses the dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900 MHz network (also known as WCDMA), making it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless multimedia services with speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services.

In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it's fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go. Phone Features
The centerpiece 2.2-inch screen is hidden when inactive, a key feature to save battery life or when keeping a low profile is a must, and it has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and 262K color support. The multi-angle vision technology enables you to view display contents from all different angles. A five-way navigation joystick and is found just beneath the screen, and it's joined by two softkeys. The top of the phone smoothly slides up to reveal the light blue backlit numeric keypad. The unit's advanced camera lens and flash can be found on the backside, just above the battery cover.

This phone also shines as a mobile digital music player, with compatibility for MP3, WMA, AAC, and AAC+/eAAC+ files, customizable equalizer, playlist creation and management, and large capacity storage via MicroSD memory cards (up to 4 GB in size). Great Phone
This phone was ordered for my mother and she loves it. Quick shipping and good price!

Don't get distracted by the shine
Prior reviews have done a thorough job discussing pros and cons of this phone, so I'm going to add the few that were missed or skipped or occured only to me.
First, the stick grows loose and insensitive with constant use. It may be mine alone that does this, but this phone will go back to the store if it gets worse. This issue on top of the size of the stick, which is not designed for large hands. As stated in other reviews, if you have large hands, look seriously at other options. You will regret not doing so.
More seriously, my Shine has an annoying habit of navigating menus while locked and on my belt. It hasn't cost me any money so far, but ghost/incidental calling could be an issue.
Battery life seems to be only a mild issue if you keep the settings on minimal battery consumption, but constant use does run it down rapidly. Constant charging is a must is you use this phone more than a few times a day.
Picture quality is good for a cell phone, but buy a real camera if you want to take real pictures.
As far as the menus go, this is almost as bad as some Japanese phones I've seen-- Menus all over the place, and if you make one miss-click or tap of a button, you will likely have to go back to the beginning and try again. In all, not very intuitive.
Bluetooth connection is problematic between my laptop and phone-- Despite my best efforts, my phone will not recognize my (very talkative) laptop. It picks up other devices fine, but refuses to see my computer and my computer can't see it. This suggests some kind of setting conflict, or would if I hadn't gone through every option in both devices. So don't rely on this thing to tranfer data wirelessly-- SDMicro is the only reliable way.
And as for the music player function, which has been mentioned in several other places to a greater depth-- This isn't a music player. Buy another phone or an ipod if you want to hear music. The speaker on this phone isn't nearly loud enough. Try the Sony Ericsson W580i Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, Memory Stick Micro Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty (Urban Gray)-- I know that's the one I'm going to get if this thing breaks on me.
In short, skip this phone. It looks good, but isn't worth it.

great phone . . . i got an adapter to listen to music with my headphone n i got 2gb microSD n a bluetooth headset. i took pics n vids with it. the only thing, some pics taken from a lil bit far are lil blurry. better visibilty would have been much better for me. after all, i got nothing to coplain. next time, i'll a touch screen..
