From the Manufacturer
This stout little compressor is Grip-Rite's #1 selling compressor for good reason. It is perfect for finishing tools, light roofing and framing and other light duty applications. The lower handle allows the unit to be carried into the jobsite almost like a suitcase and the GR152CM is quiet enough not to bother your customer while you work in another room. A maintenance free oil-less pump and a life expectancy of 4,000 hours means less downtime and zero chance of oil spilling onto expensive hardwood floors and interiors. The motor also only draws 8 amps ensuring this unit can be used anywhere. If you do finish work, punch out work, or just need an easily transportable compressor to use in your garage, the Grip-Rite GR152CM will exceed your expectations. Specs are as follows: 2hp (Peak), 3.4 CFM @ 40 psi, 2.6 CFM @ 90 psi, 2 gallon tank, 37 lbs total weight, 50 seconds pump up, 10 second recovery, and 125 max psi. Compare with Bostitch CAP2560OL, Porter-Cable CPFAC2600P, Thomas Compressors T-617HDN.
Customer Reviews
a great finish carpenters compressor
As a finish carpenter in the field its all about space savings when transporting my tools from job to job. This unit is not as quiet as a thomas but not anywhere as loud as a porter panacake unit. Clients hate the loud noises of a compresor in there finished living area and i never knew how much i appreciated the lesser noise until i got this unit. Its frame on the outside is very durable. I was working on a patio cover and while i was doing my layout the demo crew moved this compressor underneath where they were demoing and i watched a 6"x8"x12' drop right on top of it from 10' high. It bent the tray but the frame cage held up and if i had any other unit it would have been destroyed . The cage is awesome in other words. I use it as a step stool, its light enough to carry in one hand and never misses a beat when firing 2-3 nailers of of it. However im concerned about the longevity of this unit. There are small weld pellets left in the tank that i cant get out that were from when the welded the tank and it creates rust when i drain it at the end of the day. Thats why it has 4 stars but other than that for the price you cant go wrong.
