The Klipsch Synergy Series SC-1 center channel speaker delivers crisp dialogue together with dynamic impact and an impressive sensitivity of 95dB. The SC-1 uses a 1-inch aluminum diaphragm compression driver and 5-inch square Tractrix Horn for high frequencies and two 5.25-inch graphite-injected woofers for the lows. It has a multi-angle enclosure that facilitates placement either above or below a television screen.

It features a "floating" grille design that gives the speakers a handsome, contemporary style with minimal sonic interference. Flush mounted components and narrow front profiles are combined with time-aligned drivers and simple, minimum phase filter networks to provide truly extraordinary soundstaging.

A high-definition crossover network and an internally braced enclosure that helps ensure peak performance, while the unique venting system of the SC-1's cast-polymer woofer frame cools the voice coil to enhance reliability. The enclosure is constructed of high-quality MDF and it's finished in a jet ash vinyl veneer.

The Klipsch Synergy Series is a complete, matched family of high performance loudspeakers that offers superior home theater and two-channel performance. This series offers a choice of two bookshelf speakers, the SB-2 and SB-3, and three floorstanding main channel speakers--the SF-1 and SF-2 and a model with a built-in powered subwoofer, the SP-1. The voice-matched companion SC-1 center speaker and SS-1 surround speakers complete the family. A smaller version of our newest square Tractrix Horn, driven by an aluminum diaphragm tweeter, is paired with high output woofers featuring glass fiber-reinforced cast polymer frames and graphite-stiffened, injection-molded, polypropylene cones.

The rear soundfield, in a full surround system configuration, is provided by the Klipsch SS-1 Wide Dispersion Surround Technology speakers. These speakers contain an array of three drivers that flood the back of the listening room with high quality direct and reflected sound, providing both pinpoint rear channel imaging and ambient envelopment.

The highs are crystal. Speaker tracks very accurately. Sounds great with the RB-61s.

Great Buy!
I bought the SC-1 as a replacement for the stock center channel for my 5.1 system. The sound is incredibly clear and voices come through at a lower volume level (which I'm sure the neighbors appreciate during action movies). In fact, I have heard background voices I'd never heard before in some of my most watched movies!

Great Center for the $$
This is a really good center channel speaker with great frequency response, accurate sound and high efficiency. For the money it was definitely one of my 'best buys'. I would definitely recommend it. Aesthetically it is clean and simple looking so it doesn't stand out much.
