This seat is great. We bought it a little late (around 5 months), but wish we had it sooner. Get the tray with it -- especially since it is so difficult to track down in stores!

Carter's Dribble Happy bibs (many designs) are AWESOME! Absorbent tops and waterproof layer within-perfect for drool! Velcro is on the side rather than the back of the neck, reducing irritation.

Our son first tried this at 4 1/2 months. We only added a few of the toys at this time, to be sure he wasn't overwhelmed. He was still overwhelmed. As time went on though, he's really enjoyed it!

Cloth diapers have been quite an essential for us! Great for messes and spit up!

Short sleeve onesies are nice. Great under Rompers during winter months. How many you need depends on how often you do laundry. Usually babies go through 1 a day (plus the occasional accident). You do the math...

This is a great chair. Very sturdy once attached to a stable grown up chair. Good for small homes where you don't want to buy another piece of gigantic, space-grabbing baby furniture! A good alternative to full high chairs -- plus it's portable!

Essential essential essential! We use the odor blocker, scented bags from Glad which seems to help. Even now that our son has added solid foods (making diapers extra smelly), the diaper champ contains the smells.

I like the Top rather than the Tank. It is more bra-like and great for breastfeeding during the cooler months, and for more discreet feeding. I tried other tanks, but this has worked best for me. Also on store.babycenter.com

Any basic changing pad will do. We have used this without a cover -- easier to clean!

We got the travel system. The metrolite is a manageable weight. Looking back, we might have gone with just the car seat and the simple frame. many designs.

Great for early listening. Our son has music on for most of the day. He's been such a sweetie! When he's upset, music soothes him, especially this CD. All Baby Einstein classical CDs have been a hit.

This has taken care of every rash/redness in one diaper change. Great stuff.

Great for infant swaddling (per happiest baby on the block). Microfleece is more binding (in the good way) than the cotton knit. If you are having trouble swaddling, this is a help.

We used Avent bottles since they work well for babies switching back and forth between bottle and breast. Avent now sells BPA-free bottles which are nice. We use the Aireflex ones.

We have been using Pampers Baby-Dry diapers since our son was born. They are cheaper than other diapers or even other Pampers lines, but they have worked fine for us. No diaper rash issues either so they must be absorbing fine.

These wipes have worked well for us -- no linty residue. They are not SO wet that they leave moisture everywhere. Also available at bulk stores.

We've used this after shots and during teething discomfort. Your doctor should provide you with a dosing chart. Generics work fine too. Buy this at your pharmacy or at Babies R Us.

A baby mirror is a great early toy. This isn't the sturdiest, but it works fine.

We use this pack and play well. The bassinet feature is nice when you want the baby to sleep somewhere else than his crib. The portability is great - perfect for overnight stays. The changer met all of our diaper changing needs. Many designs.

OH MY GOODNESS! I wish we had this!!! I would HIGHLY recommend having this item. It's so much easier than trying to remember when you fed/changed/napped your baby. Anyone want to get us one? =)
