Attach the Fisher-Price Rainforest Waterfall Peek-a-Boo Soother to baby's crib and use the critters and sounds of the rainforest to put baby in blissful slumber. The three modes are handy whether using the six minute music, lights, and bubbles setting, the 12 minute music and lights setting, or the 18 minute music only setting. The last is a coup for those putting baby back to sleep in the middle of the night. Each mode has three musical settings: rainforest sounds and classical music, rainforest and lullaby, and merely the sounds of the jungle. The three volume settings are useful, though it would be nice to have a daytime and nighttime setting for the lights, as they can be a bit bright. The special effects aren't Hollywood, but the smiling simian on the vine, the waterfall effect, and the peek-a-boo frog will have babies enthralled. Four C batteries are necessary, but not included. In mode 1, mom can set the soother for lights, music, and motion that will continue for 6 minutes. In mode 2, mom can set the soother for only music and lights which will continue for 12 minutes. In mode 3, mom can set the soother to play only music for 18 minutes as baby drifts off to sleep. Both mom and baby are able to activate the soother by pressing the cute toucan button on the front of the unit. Volume is adjustable between high, medium, and low.

WHEN UNPACKAGING, DON'T CUT THE GREEN STRAPS!!!
Don't do what I did. When you take this out of the box and begin unpacking there will be two green straps that you will naturally mistake as some fastener holding the product in the box. It isn't. It's the straps that hold the device to the crib. After cutting one of mine I wound up needing to fabricate one of my own(PAIN!). What is it with the way stuff is packaged these days?? Do packaging engineers get off frustrating purchasers of their products who want to just simply open a box and use it??? O.K., rant off... I've only had this soother for a couple weeks, but so far I love it. The thing I like most is the colors; they're very rich and vivid. The music isn't bad(won't drive you nuts) and the movement of the animals is smooth. Battery life is O.K. so far(haven't needed replacement). All-in-all, short of the packaging, I would say this is a well assembled, well designed, quality item.

Fantastic Crib Toy
Of all the toys my son has had this has lasted the longest (he is 2 now) and it is wonderful. It is the only toy that has made the switch to his big boy bed. This toy is very relaxing too so you have to be careful watching it.
