Attractively housed in brushed stainless steel, this electric ice maker can produce up to 35 pounds of crystal-clear ice per day. Its LED control panel includes on/off functions, "add water" and "ice full" indicators, and the option for choosing between small-, medium-, or large-size cubes. The small-cube cycle takes about 8 minutes, the medium-cube cycle about 10 minutes, and the large-cube cycle about 12-1/2 minutes. Other highlights include a large one-gallon water reservoir, side handles for convenient portability, and a viewing window. An ice storage basket and a handy ice scoop come included. To clean the ice maker, remove its ice storage basket and turn the drain cap to drain water from the reservoir. Clean the interior with a soft cloth and warm water only. The outside should be cleaned regularly with a mild detergent solution and warm water. Dry the unit completely before storing. The ice maker measures 17 by 15 by 13 inches and carries a five-year limited motor warranty.

Discontinued Model - no support
We purchased this ice maker in December 2007. It stopped working a few days ago (November 2008). Comes with a one year warranty - guess what! No longer made, and waring no longer supports it. No parts or repair. Waring is refunding the purchase price to us.

Spend the extra bucks
This product makes ice, but does not store it. So at any given time, you have a small basket filled with melting, almost clear ice. I returned mine after it broke in the first 24 hours.

Exasperated
Think twice about buying this product. I've had two in a row out of the box that did not work. Waring customer service is laughable. There is no troubleshooting guide in the manual or for the company. So if anything goes wrong w/ it (other than you not getting crystal clear ice) all they can tell you is take it back to the merchant or ship it back to them (at your expense). And as for customer service, here is what you'll hear if you have a problem: "I'm very sorry, but there is nothing we can do."

I'd steer clear of this clunker and go w/ another brand. I wish the system had let me award 0 stars.
