Amazon.com Product Description
The FlashFlo hydration waist pack supplies as much water as a two-bottle fanny pack, making it a great accessory for runners and walkers on the go. The pack is built around a 1.3-liter Omega reservoir with a drinking tube that pins to your shirt, so you can grab a quick sip whenever you need a boost. Joggers will also dig the external zip pocket, which stores such items as keys, wallets, and other valuables.
Thanks to the secure outer pocket--which holds a CD player, MP3 player, or iPod--you can listen to your favorite tunes while you jog. Other details include a breathable mesh waist belt that fits comfortably around your midsection--a must for hot days--and reflective striping that helps increase your visibility in low-light conditions. Stable, cozy, and large enough to accommodate a one- to two-hour run, the FlashFlo is backed by a two-year warranty (with a lifetime warranty on the Omega reservoir).
About CamelBak
CamelBak is the originator and world leader in hands-free hydration systems. The first CamelBak products proved to be very popular among mountain bikers and motocross riders, because it allowed them to drink without taking their hands off of the handlebars in technical terrain. The product began to cross over into other sports when scientific studies showed athletes drank more fluids and performed better when they wore a CamelBak. Since then, athletes from an ever-growing list of sports and activities use CamelBak hydration systems for their convenience and performance benefits.
In addition to cycling, CamelBak has Hands-Free Hydration systems for hiking, running, snowboarding and skiing. CamelBak’s state-of-the-art packs and hydration systems have benefited athletes, outdoorsmen, and soldiers around the world. While CamelBak has grown tremendously since the early days, one thing hasn't changed: CamelBak still believes in the performance advantage that proper hydration delivers for just about any activity. The privately-held company is headquartered in Petaluma, California.

Great for long runs
I bought this pack for long runs and have been quite happy with it. It is easy to fill with water and ice and provides enough water for two hour run without refilling. The insulation keeps the water cold for the whole run and it is refreshing to have the cool pack on your lower back during hot runs. It is incredibly easy to drink from while running and you don't take in any air.
The biggest issue is keeping it tight so it doesn't bounce. I've found that the trick is to tighten the waist strap first (I wear it across my pelvic bone over my shorts), knot the waste straps (they tend to slip if you don't) and then tighten the cinch straps on the sides. If it is completely full, it may still bounce a little, but a few sips in and it won't (motivation to drink early). The key though is to keep the cinch straps tight; otherwise, it will drive you crazy. The cinch straps are easy to tighten while running, so I just snug them up after each drink. I had planned to just wear it on hot days since I thought it might be uncomfortable, but I wear it on all my long runs (150 miles in the last 10 days) and have been recommending it to everyone I run with.
Outstanding multi-use product
I recently purchased this, having only used a Camelback pack-stlye hydration system for bicycling in the past. I tried using my old Camelback for running, but it bounced around like crazy.
This is simply the best way to go -- here's why:
The fanny pack style fits very well and is very adjustable due to the added cinching straps located near the pack itself. It holds a good bit of water for short to moderate length runs, plus has enough room for my cell phone, iPod, keys and money (by the way, as I said, it cinches down nicely so that the stuff doesn't jostle around at all). Lastly, it's a lot easier to use than a bottle system and a heck of a lot less geeky!
Excellent for motorcycle trips
This is the perfect size for taking care of my hydration needs on our motorcycle trips. Secures easily around my backrest. Keeps it off my back. Also keeps a few incidentals that I want to keep at my fingertips. Love the size and the reflective tape, too.
