Category: Portable Headphones. These headphones have up to 42db isolation, come with a great case, all the adapters, and extra replacable foam plugs. The cord is rugged with the smallest 90º jack I've ever seen on a set of portable headphones. The sound reproduction is amazing - you'll have to retrain your ears to appreciate what you've been missing. Stop looking and buy them.

Category: Button Flashlight. I brought this flashlight to Antarctica. It comes with a carabiner clip *and* a visor clip. It has 5 modes: max, medium, dim, fast strobe, slow strobe - all controlled with a single button. I keep one in my backpack and one in the car. Reliable light when you need it in a versitile, tough package that looks good.

Category: Multi-tool. I've carried the same one from Asia to Europe to South America over 15 years and at least a million kilometers. The newer versions have added tools and functions without sacrificing quality. I've had Gerber tools, but Leatherman is the best. This tool will bail you out when you least expect it. Get one, and carry it!

Category: Universal Remote. No wimpy remote this: it sends IR *and* RF commands out both ends. The casing is some kind of rubbery plastic that begs you to pick it up. All the controls fall under your thumb. Motion sensor turns on the backlight. Programs over USB. Controls your lights. Sweet.

Category: Desktop Computer. I have the G5 version, but you can't beat the combination of features and 20" screen of this all-in-one design. My iMac is the hub of all my digital work.

Category: Multifunction Laser Printer. This printer sits on the network, scanning, faxing, and printing - well. Handles multipage scans the same way as faxes, and the output has incredible detail. There is no more compact multifunction laser with this quality at this price.
