Computers are stolen from dorm rooms every year, whether you've got a desktop or labtop. This is definitely a potential lifesaver!

Another safety precaution!

The clip saves space and it's good for late-night studying when your roommate has gone to sleep. Just make sure yours doesn't get too hot, there's no use burning yourself to turn it off. They can also be fire hazards if they get too hot, I know from experience!

Make sure your school isn't providing one first. I got one because my cell was charged for local calls and I live near enough that most of my calls are local. (Which sounds silly, but the phone will be used later in life.)

Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING else sticks to our walls.

This has both monthly and weekly sections, a place to write down important phone numbers, and a lot of writing space.

Bath towels, washcloth, and a little towel to clean up spills are all handy.

Because the shower will be perpetually gross.

This comes in really handy in older dorms where the heat/air conditioning may be a little funky, and it circulates the air. We leave ours on all the time and we actually notice a difference in how the air feels when we turn ours off.

I use two- one for dirty cloths going to the washer, one for clean cloths coming from the washer. The bag is the most practical for those who have to walk down multiple flights of stairs to get to the laundry room.

Whether you are cooking your own food or just want to keep snacks and drinks cold, a fridge is good to have. If you tend to get hungry after dinner (for us it ends at 7pm) you'll be thankful you've got a fridge. Keep in mind that if you're short on cash you may not be able to keep it stocked in which case investing in one is a bad idea.
